Open Ended Investment Companies (OEIC)
OEICs are Open Ended Investment Companies. ‘Open Ended’ means that the fund gets bigger as the number of investors increases and more shares are created.
When you invest in an OEIC you are allocated a number of shares in proportion to the size of your investment. The price of the shares is based on the value of the fund’s underlying holdings.
The value of investments and the income they produce can fall as well as rise. You may get back less than you invested.
Tax treatment varies according to individual circumstances and is subject to change.
